The room was beautiful, clean and presentable. The location was fantastic, a short walk from the centre of the city and the value for money was great. - Verified Guest Booking.com
Stayed here with friends recently and felt compelled to review. The small, hard working team went the extra mile with their customer service, even the night porter came outside when he saw us ladies returning from our evening's dancing at 3am during our dance weekend. Also suggested alternative safe parking locally on one evening as car park was full. All of the receptionists were efficient and friendly and the waiting staff were brilliant despite there being a sudden rush of customers at dinner and breakfast. The food was of a very good standard too. Trip Advisor Oct 17
I stayed for 4 nights on business in a double room which was well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities and a good shower and bath. Breakfast was pretty good if not a great choice of items, and service was efficient and friendly. The evening meals were very good, the one steak I had was about the best I have had!
I stayed here last night after being sent here after going to four different hotels because of a mix up with booking.com. When we arrived at the hotel the reception was very welcoming and polite, was apologetic about having to go to four different hotels before coming to this one. She showed us where our room was and she left us to it. The room was amazing. There was free slippers free hair wash free drinks and free wifi. I would definitely recommend this hotel but I wouldn't recommend booking anything on booking.com
a very friendly hotel all staff very polite and helpful this was our second visit and looking forward to our next one our room was clean and warm breakfast was hot with a good choice disabled friendly - Trip advisor Dec 17
When I read the reviews of this hotel, I was genuinely extremely worried to stay here but the horrible reviews are not a true reflection of what The Queensgate Hotel is like. The three rooms we had were large, comfortable and clean. Yes the hotel looks a little tired and could do with new carpet and new curtains, but overall it's a pleasant hotel. I cannot fault the staff! They were absolutely fantastic. The chef and kitchen staff catered perfectly for my allergy needs, all the food is home made, cooked to order to your preference and is served piping hot. Trip Advisor Oct 17

We stayed for 1 night on a weekend deal that included breakfast in the price of the room. The room was very clean, and smelt nice, the bed very comfortable and there were extras like a trouser press. We felt the service was very good, we had no problems finding a space to park in the large carpark to the rear of the hotel, and as we were coming back after hours we were given perfect instructions for reentering the hotel when the main doors were closed. The breakfast was as expected, and very pleasant.
"Three nights in Feb" - I was working in Peterborough and stayed at the Queensgate for three nights - it was comfortable, staff were lovely and helpful, and the food was a acceptable - all for a very good price. So if you need reasonably price accommodation, I would recommend the Queensgate. My only observation is that breakfast could do with a bit of an upgrade as it is a little basic. In summary, it isn't fancy but it is clean (and smelt clean - always a plus in my book!) and tidy and has all of the facilities you would expect and the wifi was reliable. Just what I needed. Stayed February 2017, travelled on business. Trip Advisor review Feb 17
"Fab hotel, lovely staff" - The hotel was lovely and clean. Our room was fab with excellent facilities. We ate in the restaurant and the burgers were wonderful. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Lots of parking and a 10 min walk into the town centre. Good value for money! Trip Advisor review Feb 17
Perfect location for the city centre and public transport. Free parking. Room facilities and cleanliness cannot be faulted. Excellent hotel.
We were extremely impressed with the facilities and the standard of service - for a keenly priced hotel we thought everything was first class. When next in Peterborough we will definitely book the Queensgate !!
Had a lovely stay nice and quiet at night great nights sleep rooms top class. Also had an excellent meal to go with the bottle of wine I had at a discount to all.Stayed there this time last year on way Wimbish will definitely be back Thanks again.
Great customer service from The Queensgate Hotel team. The hotel itself was in nice condition, you could tell it had been recently refurbed to good standards & condition. My husband and I will be staying here again in the futute! Great value for money and location.
Use the hotel regularly as I am here on business. Lovely reception skills, clean and comfortable room , facilities everything I could wish for including free wi fi. Stated to use the restaurant for evening meal as new chef and menu and I now feel confident in also recommending you eat here as well - good selection, well cooked and presented at fair prices.
