Thorpe Hall
Another example of fine architecture, Thorpe Hall was constructed during the Puritan stay in power, under Oliver Cromwell. It was designed by London Architect, who used Dutch and Italian architectural influences. Today Thorpe Hall is being used as a hospice and palliative care unit following its acquisition by the Sue Ryder Foundation in 1986. It remains one of the finest examples of Commonwealth architecture in existence.
